Gamnázium Na Zatlance is connected to eduroam

Federation eduroam is an international project to promote mobility and roaming in national research and education (NREN) networks. In the Czech Republic, this project is covered by CESNET. Our school/institution participated in the project in 2021. This took another step towards improving the quality of the institution's quality of study and prestige.

One account. Anywhere.

A registered participant can use this wireless network (wherever available) using a single user account. Account management is performed by a home (founding) organization.

The use of roaming is simple, the participant's properly set device connects automatically as soon as the eduroam network is available. Similarly, the connection to the foreign networks of mobile operators works as part of roaming. Hence the acronym: education roaming.

The service is free for all participants.

Activate an eduroam account

In eduroamyou, a username consisting of two parts is used - the username itself and the realm. You will addthe @ character and realm zatlanka.cz as a user name that you are used to from other school/institution systems. You will also need to set an eduroam password before you can use roaming.

Set up user devices to connect to an eduroam

To securely connect to eduroam, it isnot enough just to enter a name and password. You must also set up a certificate check, the easiest way to do this is with eduroam CAT, see documentation on eduroam.cz.

Covered areas

eduroam is broadcast in all classrooms and common areas of the school. Access to the school premises is possible on weekdays from 07:00-17:00.

Traffic filtering

The operation of the school pupils is filtered in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic.

There is no interference with visitor traffic except for filtering outbound SMTP traffic (TCP/25), use SMTPS (TCP/465) or Submision (TCP/587) services to send mail.
